Damariscotta Police Report

Damariscotta Police Department responded to 175 calls including motor vehicle stops, arrests calls for service, etc. during this one week period of time and reports the following activities:

Arrests/Summonses
April 18, Charlotte A. Peterson, 38 of Bristol was arrested for operating under the influence.

April 18, Tobin A. Burnham, 32 of Round Pond was arrested for violation of condition of release.

April 22, Chelsea L. Mansfield, 24 of Boothbay was issued a summons for forgery and negotiating a worthless instrument.

Accidents
April 22, Officer Devin Polizzotti and Officer Jason Warlick responded to the intersection of Route One and Belvedere Road for a two vehicle motor vehicle accident involving Alton C. Newell, 59 of Jefferson who was operating a 2012 Toyota and Robert C. Morse, 66 of Waldoboro who was operating a 2008 Mercedes-Bens. Newell was stopped at the stop light coming off Belvedere Road. Morse was travelling Northbound on Route 1. Newell started to cross Route 1 causing Morse to strike the rear driver's side of Newell's vehicle.

April 16, Officer Polizzotti assisted Mark Bridgham from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department with a suspicious activity.

April 16, Officer Polizzotti responded to Mr. Mike's Market on a report of an unwanted subject.

April 17, Deputy Chief Chad Andrews responded to a local bank to conduct a 911 welfare check.

April 17, Deputy Chief Chad Andrews warned two juvenile subjects about skateboarding on Church Street.

April 17, Deputy Chief Andrews responded to Bristol Road on a report of an erratic operation.

April 17, Officer Polizzotti responded to Biscay Road to conduct a pedestrian check on two juvenile subjects.

April 17, Officer Polizzotti responded to Main Street to conduct a welfare check on a subject.

April 18, Officer Michael Elwell responded to Pond Circle on a report of a possible suicidal subject.

April 18, Officer Elwell responded to Long Lane to conduct a welfare check on a subject.
