AppleFest Returns Oct. 5

The Nobleboro Historical Society's annual AppleFest is Saturday, October 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Nobleboro Central School and the Historical Center. Admission is free.

As always, there will be food and entertainment for everyone, time to visit with neighbors, listen to the Damariscotta Lake Country Band's down home music, get an apple pie, have lunch and some of Fondy York's fresh hot donuts.

Camp Kieve will have the climbing wall set up, plus games and face painting for kids. All the crafts, silent auction and local business tables will offer special things to buy. The NCS 8th graders will have a food table to support their class project.

It is always a fun Saturday event for the community.

The proceeds support the Society's scholarships for Nobleboro students and residents and the preservation of local history and the educational programs for NCS students and other folks to learn that history. For information call Mary Sheldon at 563-5376.
