Two decades ago I had the honor of serving on the board of directors of Kleinwort Benson, London's largest merchant bank. David Clementi, one of the chief executive officers during my tenure on the board, once shared a thought which I have retained to this day. He remarked to me that when everything appears to be going well, conditions are not quite as good as they look, nor are conditions quite as bleak as they look, when everything appears to be going poorly. September is Adopt an Adult Cat Month all over the U.S.
The Lincoln County Animal Shelter has more cats than ever. It hardly seems possible. The last time I wrote, the number of cats and kittens was 85-plus. Now the shelter has over 100 cats and kittens. Wednesday, September 10, 2014
