Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
Complaints and investigations
On March 12, Deputy Kevin Dennison responded to a burglary to a work site in the South Bristol area.
On March 13, Deputy Chad Gilbert responded to a report of a burglary to a seasonal cottage in the Bremen area.
On March 15, Deputy Kevin Dennison was dispatched to a burglary in the Jefferson area; and responded to a complaint of a stolen flat screen television from his porch, in the Bremen area.
On March 25, Deputy Brian Collamore was dispatched to a report of criminal mischief to the WW&F Railroad Museum in the Alna area.
March 13, Kara D. Weiske, 18, of Nobleboro was summonsed for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, by Deputy Mark Bridgham.
March 13, a 17-year-old female from Bristol was summonsed for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, by Deputy Mark Bridgham.
March 12, Justin C. Jones, 23, of Wiscasset, was arrested for burglary, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and violating condition of release, on Main Road, Westport Island, by Sgt. Jason Nein, assisted by Detective Robert McFetridge.
March 13, Christopher A. Perkins, 29, of Wiscasset, was arrested on a Wiscasset District Court warrant for failure to appear, at the Lincoln County Courthouse, Wiscasset, by Transport Deputy Michael Gustafson.
March 14, John P. Lawson, 20, of South Bristol, was arrested for domestic violence assault, on Rt. 129, South Bristol, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
March 15, John L. Hannon, 58, of Jacksonville, Fla., was arrested on three warrants for failure to appear, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Transport Deputy Michael Gustafson.
March 19, David Knox, 46, of Augusta, was arrested for failure to register or update information - prior and unsworn falsification, on Ingraham Mtn. Road, Augusta, by Detective Scott Hayden.

March 12, Zachary Campbell, 21, of Boothbay Harbor, operator failing to use a seatbelt, Rt. 27, Edgecomb, Sgt. Jason Nein.
March 13, Emily Reinholt, 30, of Edgecomb, speeding 73 mph in a posted 50 mph speed zone, Rt. 27, Edgecomb, Sgt. Jason Nein.
Stanley Goen, 31, of Brownstone, Ind., speeding 54 mph in a posted 40 mph speed zone, Barters Island Road, Boothbay by Sgt. Jason Nein.

Recent traffic accidents
On March 12, an accident occurred on Bunker Hill Road in Newcastle involving Daniel E. White, 40, of Augusta. White was operating his 2003 Chevrolet Suburban northbound when a deer entered the roadway and struck his vehicle. Sgt. Brendan Kane was the investigating officer.
On March 15, an accident occurred on Academy Hill in Newcastle involving Tamela D. Barter, 41, of Newcastle and Victoria L. Grass, 20, of Jefferson. Barter was operating her 2001 Buick Century westbound on Rt. 1B, heading towards Academy Hill Road. Grass was operating her 2004 Pontiac southbound on Mills Road. Barter failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection and as a result, she was unable to avoid striking Grass' vehicle in the front driver's side tire area. Deputy Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On March 18, an accident occurred on Augusta Road in Jefferson involving Michael R. Caldwell, 45, of Albion, and Jeremy Shiers, 35, of Vicksburg, Miss. Shiers was attempting a right hand turn in his 2007 Freightliner truck when a vehicle approached, causing him to stop turning. Caldwell was following too close to Shiers vehicle in his 2000 Toyota Camry and failed to see him stop again because of traffic and struck Shiers' vehicle in the rear. Deputy Mark Bridgham was the investigating officer.
On March 19, an accident occurred on Ocean Point Road in Boothbay involving Herbert Winicov, 78, of East Boothbay. Winicov was traveling westbound in his 2006 Subaru Impreza when he began to slide on the snow/ice covered road surface. As a result, his vehicle rotated counter clockwise, crossed the eastbound travel lane and entered the eastbound embankment. His vehicle then struck a tree and came to rest facing east. Sergeant Jason Nein was the investigating officer.
On March 19, an accident occurred on Bristol Road in Bristol involving Sarah L. Proulx, 38, of Damariscotta. Proulx was operating her 1988 Toyota 4-Runner northbound when she lost control of her vehicle on the snow-covered roadway. As a result, her vehicle spun 180 degrees in the road before exiting into the northbound shoulder and rolling over at least once before coming to rest against several trees. Lieutenant Rand Maker was the investigating officer.
On Mach 19, an accident occurred on Boothbay Road in Edgecomb involving Brittany Corson, 22, of Wiscasset. Corson lost control of her 2004 Chevrolet 1500 and began to slide sideways down the roadway. Her vehicle then entered the ditch and rolled over. Deputy Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
On March 19, an accident occurred on Rt. 1 in Newcastle involving Sean P. Oliver, 25, of Newcastle. Oliver was operating his 1998 Subaru Forester northbound when he crossed the center line and continued into the southbound lane and entered a ditch. His vehicle then struck several small trees in the southbound ditch. Deputy Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
On March 19, an accident occurred on Main Road on Westport Island involving Victoria A. Cromwell, 20, of Westport Island. Cromwell was operating her 2008 Kia Spectra when she lost control of her vehicle, entered the southbound ditch and struck a tree. Deputy Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
On March 19, an accident occurred on Hendricks Hill Road on Southport involving Ronald M. Farnham, 62, of West Southport and James P. Lawlor, 57, of Boothbay Harbor. Farnham, who was operating a 2009 GMC public works plow truck, was backing into the Southport General Store parking area. Lawlor's 2013 Toyota Tacoma was parked legally and unoccupied when Farnham failed to see his vehicle and struck it. Sergeant Jason Nein was the investigating officer.
On March 19, an accident occurred on Patricktown Road in Somerville involving Steven L. Hale, 52, of Rockland, and Michael Tesseo, 28, of Palermo. Hale, who was operating his 2005 Chevrolet, failed to stop at the stop sign due to the snow covered roadway and skidded through the intersection. Tesseo, who was operating his 2006 Ford F150, attempted to avoid Hale's vehicle, however, went off the roadway and struck a tree. Deputy Kenneth Hatch was the investigating officer.
