Damariscotta Police Department reports the following activity:

Arrests and summonses
July 3, Arthur W. York Jr., 52, of Nobleboro, was arrested for operating under the influence.

July 6, Brian J. McLaughlin, 46, of Bremen, was arrested for Fugitive from Justice charges.

Complaints and investigations
June 27, Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to Salt Bay Café, along with CLC Ambulance, on a report of a medical emergency.

June 28, Officer Scott Sutter took a complaint of harassment.

Officer Scott Sutter responded to a report of an erratic operation on U.S. Rt. One.

Officer Devin Polizzotti responded, along with CLC Ambulance, to Bristol Road on a report of a medical emergency.

June 29, Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to Pond Circle to conduct a welfare check; conducted a pedestrian check on a subject; took possession of lost property; responded to Biscay Road on a report of a traffic hazard; and responded to a report of an erratic operation.

June 30, Officer Michael Elwell took a report of a possible assault and sexual harassment; responded to Pine Ridge Road on a report of a disabled motor vehicle.

July 2, Officer Jason Warlick responded to U.S. Rt. One on a report of an erratic operation; responded to Pond Circle on a report of suspicious activity.

July 2, Deputy Chief Chad Andrews conducted a welfare check on a child at Ledgewood Court; responded, along with CLC Ambulance, to Hodgdon Street, for a medical emergency; responded to a report of an erratic operation; and took a report of lost property.

July 3, Deputy Chief Chad Andrews responded to a local business on a report of a burglar alarm.

Officer Jason Warlick took a complaint of a theft; took a report of a theft from a local business.

Deputy Chief Chad Andrews responded to Main Street, along with CLC Ambulance, on a report of a medical emergency; responded to Pond Circle on a report of suspicious activity; and responded to Mr. Mike's Market and requested that a group of juveniles leave the premises.

July 4, Officer Jason Warlick responded to the Chapman Hall House on a report of a burglar alarm; took a complaint regarding a civil child custody issue; responded to a report of an erratic operation; responded to Pond Circle for a report of a possible domestic disturbance; responded to Hannaford on a report of an animal complaint; conducted a speed detail on Biscay Road.

Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to a local business on a report of a burglar alarm; assisted a citizen with a parking issue; responded to Ledgewood Court on a complaint involving fireworks; responded to Meadow Court on a complaint of a barking dog; and responded to Abbie Lane on a complaint involving fireworks.

Officer Devin Polizzotti and Officer Jason Warlick responded to Main Street on a report of a juvenile problem; and the two officers, along with the Damariscotta Fire Department and the Marine Patrol responded to Schooner Landing on a report of a boat being taken by the current.

July 5, Animal Control Officer, Mark Doe took possession of a dog that was found by a citizen and turned into the police department.

Officer Devin Polizzotti conducted a welfare check on a subject who left the hospital against medical advice; conducted a pedestrian check on a subject on Biscay Road; conducted a pedestrian check on a subject on Main Street; responded to Main Street on a complaint that a dog had been left inside a vehicle; responded to Back Meadow Road on a report of a traffic hazard; and responded to Back Meadow Road on a complaint involving fireworks.

Deputy Chief Chad Andrews removed an unwanted subject from the CLC YMCA; responded to Pond Circle on a report of a possible domestic disturbance; responded to Biscay Road on a report of a disabled motor vehicle; and responded to Schooner Street, along with CLC Ambulance, on a report of a medical emergency.

July 6, Officer Warren Waltz responded to Courtyard Street on a report of a dog in a vehicle.

Officer Devin Polizzotti conducted a welfare check on a citizen on South Road; responded to the Biscay Road to conduct a welfare check; responded to the Damariscotta Fire Department on a complaint of fireworks landing in the parking lot.

July 7, Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to South Road on a loud noise complaint; responded to Lessner Road, along with CLC Ambulance, on a report of a medical emergency; assisted a citizen with questions regarding parking; and responded to Church Street on a report of suspicious activity.

July 8, Officer Jason Warlick took possession of found property; conducted a speed detail on Church Street.

Officer Devin Polizzotti took a report of lost property; responded, along with CLC Ambulance, to Keene Woods Road on a report of a medical emergency; and took a report of a theft.

July 9, Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to a local restaurant to conduct a 911 check on a subject.

Officer Jason Warlick took a complaint of a theft from a local business; took a complaint of lost property; responded to Salt Bay Drive to conduct a welfare check on a subject. He transported the subject to Miles Memorial Hospital for an evaluation; and responded to the intersection of Rt. 1 and Center Street on a report of a disabled motor vehicle.

July 10, Officer Jason Warlick responded to Ledgewood Court on a report of a civil complaint; assisted a business owner with questions regarding parking; responded to Elm Street on a report of a minor motor vehicle accident; assisted Wiscasset Police Department on an attempt to locate a subject; responded to a report of an erratic operation.

Officer Tyson Fait and Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to a complaint of a possible intoxicated driver.

Officer Tyson Fait took a complaint of lost property; took a complaint of harassment; removed juveniles from the parking lot of Mr. Mikes; and assisted Two Bridges Regional Jail with notifying an alleged victim that a person was being released from jail.

July 11, Officer Jason Warlick responded to Lake Pemaquid Campground on a report of a civil issue; took a report of a theft; responded to Coastal Market Drive on a report of a dog left in a motor vehicle.

July 12, Deputy Chief Chad Andrews conducted a pedestrian check on a subject on Bristol Road. He gave the person a ride home; assisted a citizen with a lockout; responded to Bristol Road on a report of a disabled motor vehicle; responded to Edward Avenue on a report of a traffic hazard.

Officer Devin Polizzotti assisted the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department with a motor vehicle accident; responded to Main Street on a report of a dog left in a motor vehicle; took a report of found property.

July 13, Deputy Chief Chad Andrews responded to Ash Lane, along with CLC Ambulance, on a report of a medical emergency.

July 14, Officer Scott Sutter responded to Cappelletti Drive, along with CLC Ambulance, for a medical emergency.

Officer Devin Polizzotti responded, along with CLC Ambulance, to Midcoast Road for a medical emergency; responded to Lake Pemaquid Campground on a report of suspicious activity; responded to Mr. Mike's Market on a report of a mental subject. Officer Polizzotti transported the person to Miles Memorial Hospital; responded to Rt. 1 on a report of a disabled motor vehicle; and responded to Standpipe Road on a report of a parking problem.

July 15, Officer Devin Polizzotti took a report of a theft; responded to Biscay Road on a report of a disabled motor vehicle.

Officer Jason Warlick responded to a report of an erratic operation; took a complaint of harassment.

July 16, Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to Parking Lot Lane on a report of suspicious activity.

Officer Jason Warlick responded to Rt. 1 on a report of a traffic hazard; and responded to a local restaurant on a report of an unwanted subject.

Recent accidents
June 27, Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to Rt. 1 for a car/deer accident involving Garry L. Wheeler, 74, of Topsham, who was operating a 2010 Chrysler.

July 1, Officer Jason Warlick responded to the intersection of Rt. 1 and Belvedere Road on a report of a car/deer accident involving Matthew L. Brown, 18, of Alna, who was operating a 1996 Toyota.

July 2, Officer Jason Warlick responded to Coastal Market Drive on a report of a two vehicle motor vehicle accident involving John P. Thomas, 58, of Bristol, who was operating a 2004 Honda and Nancy Destinoble, 46, of Bremen, who was operating a 2007 Dodge. Both operators were backing out of parking spaces at the same time. Thomas struck the door of Ms. Destinoble's vehicle.

Officer Jason Warlick responded to Hannaford on a report of a two vehicle motor vehicle accident involving Alfred H. Little, 61, of Nobleboro, who was operating a 1998 Volkswagen and Rick Fortier, 50, of Bristol, who was operating a 2001 Saturn. Little was traveling through the parking lot. Fortier was pulling from a parking space and did not see Little and struck the front driver's side of his vehicle.

Officer Jason Warlick responded to Main Street on a report of a two vehicle motor vehicle accident involving Forrest C. Hunt, 73, of Damariscotta, who was operating a 2000 Nissan and Colleen L. Rasmussen, 61, of Edgecomb, who was operating a 2006 Volvo. Hunt was traveling south on Main Street. Rasmussen was entering the roadway from Griffin Street. She was unable to stop and struck the center passenger's side of Mr. Hunt's vehicle.

July 3, Officer Jason Warlick took a report of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Twin Cove Lane involving Sarah L. Proulx, 38, of Damariscotta, who was operating a 2004 Hyundai and an unknown operator of a silver Ford truck. The vehicles hit mirrors.

Officer Jason Warlick responded to Rising Tide on a report of a two vehicle motor vehicle accident involving Heather T. Roberts, 48, of Damariscotta, who was operating a 2006 Chevrolet and Barbara G. McClelland, 60, of Whitefield, who was operating a 2011 Nissan. Roberts was backing out of a parking space and struck the passenger's side door of McClelland's vehicle.

July 5, Deputy Chief Chad Andrews responded to the intersection of Main and School streets for a two vehicle motor vehicle accident involving Andrea Hallowell, 42, of Pemaquid, who was operating a 2006 Ford and Jordan L. Plummer, 17, of South Bristol, who was operating a 2002 Saab. Hallowell struck the rear of Plummer's vehicle.

Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to Main Street on a report of a two vehicle motor vehicle accident involving Jordan W. Knott, 23 of Damariscotta who was operating a 1999 Ford and Nancy Jakway, 60 of Sullivan, N.H. who was operating a 2011 Subaru.

July 8, Officer Jason Warlick responded to Main Street on a report of a two vehicle motor vehicle accident involving Whitney M. Rice, 22, of Bremen, who was operating a 2002 Ford and Carole A. Brinkler, 48, of Newcastle, who was operating a 2007 Ford. Ms. Brinkler was stopped in traffic. Rice was unable to stop her vehicle and struck the rear of Brinkler's vehicle.

July 15, Officer Jason Warlick responded to Miles Memorial Hospital Parking Lot on a report of a two vehicle motor vehicle accident involving John A. Kosnow, 58, of Boothbay Harbor, who had parked his green Pontiac. When he returned to his vehicle, there was damage to the door.

July 16, Officer Jason Warlick responded to The First for a two vehicle motor vehicle accident.
