Damariscotta Police Report

Damariscotta Police Department reports the following activity:

Arrests and summonses
July 16, Deputy Chief Chad Andrews responded to Standpipe Road on a report of an erratic operation. He found the vehicle in the ditch as the person tried to outrun him. Jonathan J. Riley, 18, of Bremen, was arrested for driving to endanger.

July 18, a juvenile was summoned to court for having a passenger during interim license, possession of marijuana and sale and use of drug paraphernalia.

Cody Beaucage, 18, of Jefferson, was summoned to court for possession of marijuana.

July 19, Alex Teele, 22, of Bremen, was arrested on a warrant for unpaid fine.

July 21, Andrew E. Frazzetta, 44, of Bristol, was arrested on a warrant for fugitive from justice.

July 22, Scott C. Feindel, 41, of Alna, was summoned to court for failure to register his vehicle.

Complaints and investigations
July 16, Officer Jason Warlick stopped a vehicle on Church Street and advised the operator that he was dragging a chain; and assisted a citizen with installing a car seat; responded, along with CLC Ambulance, to Blue Haven Lane on a report of a medical emergency.

July 17, Deputy Chief Chad Andrews assisted Miles Memorial Hospital with a LifeFlight; responded to Lakehurst Lane to conduct a 911 check after the Lincoln County Communications Center received a 911 hang up call; and took a complaint of fireworks being shot over the water.

Officer Jason Warlick responded to Don Foshay's Discount Tire on a report of a motor vehicle that had damage. The 2012 Cadillac belonged to Charles Roberts, 70, of New Harbor. He left his vehicle there for work to be done and when he returned, he noticed damage to the bumper of his vehicle; took a report of a lost I.D. card.

July 18, Deputy Chief Chad Andrews responded to McDonald's on a report of a disabled motor vehicle.

Officer Jason Warlick took a complaint of a possible burglary; conducted a speed detail on Biscay Road; and responded to Rt. 1 on a report of an erratic operation.

July 19, Officer Devin Polizzotti took a trespassing complaint; responded to Elm Street on a report of a parking problem; conducted a speed detail at Biscay Beach; took a complaint of a theft; responded to Hannaford on a report of a dog left in a motor vehicle that was showing signs of distress; and responded to Elm Street to conduct a welfare check.

Animal Control Officer Mark Doe responded to Hannaford on a report of a dog left in a motor vehicle.

Deputy Chief Chad Andrews responded to Hilltop Stop on a report of a disabled motor vehicle.

July 20, Animal Control Officer, Mark Doe responded to Miles Memorial Hospital on a report of a dog left in a vehicle.

Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to Damariscotta River Grill, along with the Damariscotta Fire Department, on a report of wires hanging on the building; responded to Hilltop Stop on a report of suspicious activity; responded to Main Street on a report of suspicious activity; responded to the Chapman-Hall House on a report of a burglar alarm.

July 21, Officer Devin Polizzotti assisted Boothbay Harbor Police Department with questioning a patient at Miles Memorial Hospital.

Officer Michael Elwell responded to Back Meadow Road on a report of a traffic hazard; and responded to a report of an erratic operation.

Officer Devin Polizzotti and Officer Michael Elwell responded to Piper Mill Road, along with the Damariscotta Fire Department, on a report of a brush fire; responded to High Meadow Apartments to conduct a welfare check; and responded to the parking lot of The First on a report of a possible domestic disturbance.

Officer Michael Elwell responded to the intersection of School and Hodgdon streets on a report of a disabled motor vehicle.

July 22, Officer Jason Warlick conducted a speed detail at Biscay Beach.

Officer Devin Polizzotti took a complaint of a theft.

July 23, Officer Jason Warlick took a complaint of lost property.

Accidents
July 16, Officer Jason Warlick responded to Hannaford on a report of a two-vehicle accident involving Helen H. Warner, 64, of Newcastle, who was operating a 2005 Subaru and Vicki L. McDunnah, 50, of Damariscotta, who was operating a 2008 Toyota. Both vehicles were backing from parking spaces across from each other and struck each other.

Officer Jason Warlick responded to Twin Cove Lane for a single vehicle motor vehicle accident involving Stacy E. McFarland, 18, of Newcastle, who was operating a 1996 Subaru. She was traveling south on Twin Cove Lane and attempted to turn a corner. Her vehicle continued to travel straight and struck a tree.

July 18, Officer Jason Warlick responded to Main Street on a report of a two vehicle motor vehicle accident involving Chelsea Blanchard, 20, of Hudson, N.H., who was operating a 2008 Dodge and Emily J. Poole, 65, of South Bristol, who was operating a 2010 Lexus. Poole was stopped on Main Street when Blanchard struck the rear of her vehicle.

July 23, Officer Jason Warlick responded to Main Street on a report of a two-vehicle motor vehicle accident involving Robin Chase, 56, of Whitefield, who was operating a 2005 Dodge and Scott J. Malone, 56, of Damariscotta, who was operating a 2003 Toyota. Chase was traveling through the back parking lot. Malone was backing from a parking space and struck Chase's vehicle.

Damariscotta Police Department responded to 144 calls including motor vehicle stops, arrests, calls for service, and more, during this one week period of time.

Police office hours
Beginning immediately, the Damariscotta Police Department office will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. The office lobby is open 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week. If an officer is not available, a visitor can pick up the red phone in the lobby and call the Lincoln County Communication Center to get in touch with an officer.
