Wiscasset Police Report

Wiscasset Police Chief Troy Cline reports the following activities:

Summonses and Arrests
July 15, Brian Wright, 48, of Edgecomb, was summoned for speeding on Bath Road, 41 in a 25.

July 15, Richard Maguire, 48, of Waldoboro, was summoned for no inspection sticker.

July 15, Sarah Hanley, 16, of Wiscasset, was summoned for speeding on Hooper Street, 43 in a 25.

July 18, David Cherkis, 44, of Dresden, was summoned for speeding on Hooper Street 48 in a 25.

July 21, Claudia Lockwood, 19, of Yarmouth, was summoned for speeding on Gardiner Road, 72 in a 55.

July 21, Christopher Blair, 32, of Auburn, was summoned for speeding on Gardiner Road, 70 in a 55.

July 21, a juvenile male, 11, of Wiscasset, was summoned for criminal mischief.

July 21, Christine Ryan, 41, of Boothbay, was arrested for operating under the influence, second offense within 10 years, and on a warrant for failure to appear.

July 22, Elizabeth Fairfield, 44, of Wiscasset, was summoned for a stop sign violation on Birch Point Road

July 17, Richard Knowlton, 54, of Camden, was backing a Chevrolet sport-utility vehicle out of a parking space at Napa and struck a 1999 Subaru operated by Ian Jones, 16, of Dresden. There were no injuries.

July 18. Allison Bailey, 17, of Bath, was operating a 2008 Ford Focus northbound on Bath Road when she was preparing to make a right turn into Norm's Used Cars. Conrad Trottier, 67, of Wiscasset, attempted to pass Bailey on the right in a 2008 Honda Accord, Bailey turned, and struck Trottier's vehicle in the side. Trottier was found at fault for improper passing. There were no injuries.

July 19, Toni Hinds, 64, of Alna, was backing up a 2002 GMC pick-up in the parking lot of Mike's Log Cabin when she struck a 2010 Ford sport-utility vehicle operated by Deborah Stone-Gove, 51, of Wiscasset. There were no injuries.

July 21, Charles Abbott, 63, of Wiscasset, was operating a 2010 Mazda sport-utility vehicle northbound on Gardiner Road near Hilltop Drive when he became distracted and the vehicle left the roadway, striking a mailbox. Passenger Marry Abbott, 90, of Wiscasset, complained of pain throughout her body and was transported by Wiscasset Ambulance Service.

July 22, Sarah Perkins, 36, of Pittston, was operating a 1999 Jeep Cherokee on Birch Point Road when she struck and killed a deer. Perkins complained of back pain but was not transported for her injuries.
