Damariscotta Police Report

Damariscotta Police Department reports the following activity:

Arrests and summonses
Sept. 3, John Wyman, 41, of Waldoboro, was arrested for violation of a protection from abuse order.

Sept. 4, Brandon Millard, 30, of Lebanon, was arrested for operating after suspension and violation of conditions of release.

Sept. 4, Savannah L. Chamberlain, 19, of Waldoboro, was summoned to court for possession of marijuana.

Sept. 6, Michael J. Castillo, 29, of Damariscotta, was summoned to court for operating after suspension.

Sept. 7, Charles J. Scavetta, 25, of Damariscotta, was arrested for violation of conditions of release and refusing to submit to arrest.

Accidents
Sept. 3, Deputy Chief Chad Andrews responded to the municipal parking lot for a motor vehicle accident involving Nicholas Wright, 19, of South Bristol.

Sept. 6, Officer Jason Warlick responded to the Hannaford parking lot on a report of a two vehicle motor vehicle accident involving Joseph J. Cirigliano, 70, of Nobleboro, who was operating a 2007 Volvo and Shaina R. Swift, 22, of Dresden, who was operating 2005 Chevrolet. Cirigliano was backing from a parking space and Swift did not see Cirigliano and struck his vehicle.

Sept. 6, Deputy Chief Chad Andrews responded to Main Street on a report of a two vehicle motor vehicle accident involving Margaret Frantz, 69, of Damariscotta, who was operating a 2009 Chevrolet and Joseph E. Brown, 75, of Jefferson, who was operating a 1991 Ford.

Sept. 7, Officer Jason Warlick responded to Egypt Road on a report of a motor vehicle accident involving Chase W. Simmons, 16, of Damariscotta, who was operating a 1994 Honda. Simmons was traveling north, got into the soft shoulder, lost control and struck a tree.

Sept. 9, Deputy Chief Chad Andrews responded to Miles Memorial Hospital parking lot on a report of a two vehicle motor vehicle accident involving Brian Redonnett, 55, of Bristol, who was operating a 2010 Subaru and Richard J. Moran, 78, of Waldoboro, who was operating a 2007 Dodge.

Complaints and investigations
Sept. 3, Deputy Chief Chad Andrews responded to Salt Bay Drive on a report of a criminal mischief; assisted a citizen with a permit to move an uninspected motor vehicle.

Officer Devin Polizzotti took possession of lost property.

Sept. 4, Officer Jason Warlick responded to Church Street on a loud noise complaint; conducted a speed detail on Bristol Road; conducted a speed detail at Biscay Beach; responded to Biscay Road on a report of a traffic hazard; responded to a store on Main Street on a report of suspicious activity.

Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to the Hannaford Parking Lot on a report of an assault; responded to Hannaford on a report of a fraud.

Sept. 5, Officer Devin Polizzotti conducted a pedestrian check on Main Street.

Officer Jason Warlick responded to a report of a theft from a motor vehicle at a local store; responded to Bristol Road on a report of a burglar alarm; assisted Miles Memorial Hospital with an unruly patient; responded to Belvedere Road on a report of a burglar alarm; responded to Cove's Edge Nursing Home on a report of a panic alarm; took a report of a theft from a local business.

Deputy Chief Chad Andrews assisted a citizen with a permit to operate an uninspected motor vehicle; responded to Rt. 1 on a report of a traffic hazard.

Sept. 6, Officer Jason Warlick responded to the intersection of Bristol Road and Powell Lane on a report of a traffic hazard; conducted a speed detail on Bristol Road; responded to Main Street on a report of a burglar alarm; assisted a citizen with questions regarding child custody.

Deputy Chief Chad Andrews responded to South Road on a report of an unwanted subject; assisted Westbrook Police Department with a complaint; responded to Pond Circle along with Interim Animal Control Officer, Kyle Emerson, on an animal complaint; responded to Mr. Mike's Market on a report of a juvenile problem; and conducted a pedestrian check on Main Street.

Sept. 7, Deputy Chief Chad Andrews responded to Bristol Road on a report of a suspicious activity.

Officer Jason Warlick responded to Lillybrook Apartments on a report of a female in distress; and responded to Biscay Road on a loud noise complaint.

Sept. 8, Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to Standpipe Road on a complaint about ATV operators; and responded to Schooner Cove, along with CLC Ambulance, on a report of a medical alarm.

Sept. 9, Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to Butternut Lane, along with CLC Ambulance, on a report of a medical emergency.

Deputy Chief Chad Andrews responded to the intersection of Belvedere Road and U.S. Route One on a report of a disabled motor vehicle; conducted a pedestrian check on Main Street. The pedestrian voluntarily went to Miles Memorial Hospital for an evaluation; and with Chief Ron Young assisted Miles Memorial Hospital with an unruly patient; responded, along with CLC Ambulance, to Schooner Cove on a report of a medical alarm.

Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to Main Street on a report of an erratic operation; and responded to Great Salt Bay Community School on a report of a parking problem.

Damariscotta Police Department responded to 157 calls including motor vehicle stops, arrests, calls for service, and more, during this one-week period of time.
