Lincoln County Sheriff's Report

Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:

Investigations and complaints
On Oct. 15, Deputy Kenneth Hatch was dispatched to a report of a burglary to a residence in the Nobleboro area. This case is under investigation.

On Oct. 15, Deputy Matthew Day took a report of criminal mischief to the lighthouse on Beach Road in Southport. Investigation found someone(s) had damaged the door and broke a pane of glass. Total damage is approximately $300. Further investigation to follow if leads develop.

On Oct. 16, Deputy Matthew Day was dispatched to a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle in the Jefferson area. The complainant stated she was traveling west on Route 17 when an unknown item cracked her windshield in two different places. Unknown if the item came from a passing school bus or kicked up from the road by the bus.

On Oct. 19, Reserve Deputy Richard Woodward was dispatched to report of a damaged mailbox in the Boothbay area. The complainant stated that sometime during the night, around 11 p.m., he heard a loud bang and upon mowing, he discovered his mailbox had been damaged, along with several of his neighbor's mailboxes. At this time, there are no suspects or leads.

Recent summonses
Oct. 20, Jake D. Swift, 20, of Dresden was issued a summons for illegal possession of liquor by a minor, on Patterson Road, Dresden, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.

Recent arrests
Oct. 16, Joshua W. Frenette, 34, of Warren was arrested on a Massachusetts warrant for a charge of home invasion, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Kenneth Hatch.

Oct. 16, Allaura T. Elliot, 23, of Nobleboro was arrested on a Knox County warrant for violating condition of release, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Kenneth Hatch.

Oct. 17, Reece E. Demmons, 21, of Bristol was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear for a marine resource summons, at the Lincoln County Courthouse, Wiscasset, by Transport Deputy James Read.

Oct. 17, Douglas Cray, 40, of Bristol was arrested on two warrants out of Rockland District Court for unpaid fines, on Pemaquid Villas Road, Bristol, by Deputy Aaron Beck.

Oct. 20, Douglas McMillan, 21, of Dresden was arrested on an outstanding warrant, on Patterson Road, Dresden, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.

Oct. 21, Nathan B. Chesebro, 36, of Bristol was arrested for violating condition of release, on Bristol Road, Bristol, by Deputy Kenneth Hatch.

Recent accidents
On Oct. 16, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Harry W. L. Deloe, 59, of Thomaston, and Chantae R. Eaton, 17, of Rockland. Eaton was operating her 2001 Saturn northbound and attempted to make a left turn onto the Mills Road off the ramp. Eaton did not use her turn signal and slowed in traffic. Deloe, who was operating his 2000 GMC Sierra, and thought Eaton was pulling off the roadway to the right and began to pass on the left. At this point, Eaton started turning left and made contact with the side of Deloe's vehicle. Deputy Matthew Day was the investigating officer.

On Oct.16, an accident occurred on Sheepscot Road in Newcastle involving Sabryna M. Payne, 17, of Damariscotta. Payne was operating a 1998 Nissan westbound and as she was proceeding forward, her vehicle drifted onto the shoulder. As a result, her vehicle proceeded into the embankment before coming to rest. Sgt. Daniel Sceviour was the investigating officer.

On Oct. 17, an accident occurred on Dover Road in Boothbay involving Brandi Arsenault, 32, of Boothbay. Arsenault was operating a 2002 Dodge Durango northbound when a deer entered the roadway. Arsenault avoided the deer, however, her vehicle went off the roadway and struck a utility pole. Deputy Matthew Day was the investigating officer.

On Oct. 19, an accident occurred on Mills Road in Whitefield involving Emily M. Cote, 17, of Whitefield and Brenda T. Geyer, 53, of Whitefield. Geyer was stopped in traffic at the intersection of Mills Road and Route 126, near the Whitefield Superette, in her 2009 Subaru Legacy. Cote was backing her 2012 Subaru Outback out of the Superette parking lot and she advised she did not see Geyer's vehicle behind her and struck her vehicle in the rear driver's side. Det. Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.

On Oct. 19, an accident occurred on Bog Road in Dresden involving Nicholas A. Hrankowski, 17, of Alna. Hrankowski was operating his 2000 Saturn southbound when a deer ran out in front of his vehicle. Hrankowski swerved to avoid the deer and ran off the roadway on the right side, causing his vehicle to flip onto its roof. Det. Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.

On Oct. 19, an accident occurred on Boothbay Road in Edgecomb involving Stephanie Berry, 49, of Boothbay. Berry was operating her 2011 Subaru southbound when she attempted to turn into a driveway and as she made the turn, she made contact with a rock that acted as a driveway marker. Reserve Deputy Richard Woodward was the investigating officer.
