Damariscotta Police report

Damariscotta Police Department reports the following activity:

Complaints and investigations
Nov. 13, Officer Jason Warlick assisted a citizen with questions they had regarding a carbon monoxide detector; citizen referred to the Damariscotta Fire Department; and, conducted a speed detail on Church Street; conducted a 911 check at The First National Bank after Lincoln County Communications received a 9-1-1 hang up call, with no problem; and responded to Bristol Road on a report of a disabled motor vehicle. The vehicle had a flat tire and the owner was waiting for AAA.

Officer Jason Warlick and Officer Ryan Chubbuck responded to Massasoit Drive on a report of a burglar alarm.

Nov. 14, Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to Hodgdon Street on a report of a possible domestic disturbance. There was a verbal altercation only and one subject was removed.

Chief Ronald Young assisted a citizen with questions they had about handgun ownership; took possession of a found wallet from the Miles Thrift Store.

Officer Jason Warlick took possession of a found purse, which was returned to owner. He was able to locate the owner and it was returned to her.

Nov. 15, Officer Jason Warlick responded to Bristol Road on a report of a burglar alarm, tripped in error; and responded to a report of a burglar alarm at LincolnHealth - Miles Campus which was accidentally set off by painters.

Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to Church Street on a report of a juvenile problem.

Deputy Chief Chad Andrews responded to Bristol Road on a report of a burglar alarm, tripped in error; responded to Rt. 1 on a report of a disabled motor vehicle; responded to Salt Bay Café, along with CLC Ambulance on a report of a medical emergency; and responded to Hutchings Road on a report of a medical emergency.

Nov. 16, Officer Scott Sutter conducted a speed detail on Bristol Road; responded to Rt. 1 on a report of a disabled motor vehicle.

Officer Jason Warlick responded to Schooner Cove, along with CLC Ambulance, on a report of a medical alarm. It was a false alarm.

Nov. 17, Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to a report of a burglar alarm at Bath Savings Institution that was tripped in error.

Nov. 18, Deputy Chief Chad Andrews took a report of a lost wallet; conducted a speed detail on Bristol Road; responded to Schooner Cove, along with CLC Ambulance, on a report of a medical emergency; responded to the Lincoln County Rifle Club, along with CLC Ambulance, on a report of a medical emergency; responded to The First National Bank on a report of suspicious activity.

Deputy Chief Chad Andrews and Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to Pond Circle on a report of a possible domestic disturbance, where the parties were separated, as it was a verbal altercation.

Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to Rt. 1 on a report of a disabled motor vehicle.

Nov. 19, Chief Ronald Young responded to Meadow Court on a report of a juvenile problem.

Arrests and summonses
Nov. 13, Officer Jason Warlick summoned Bonnie K. Sablinsky, of Bristol, for failure to stop at a stop sign.

Nov. 14, Officer Jason Warlick summoned Codi P. Farrin, 18, of Damariscotta, for speeding, 61 mph in a 45 mph zone on Biscay Road.

Nov. 15, Officer Devin Polizzotti summoned Michael G. Walker-Welsh, 27, of Damariscotta, for operating after suspension.

Officer Jason Warlick summoned Michael J. Castillo, 29, of Damariscotta, for possession of marijuana.

Accidents
Nov. 13, Officer Jason Warlick responded to Main Street on a report of a two car motor vehicle accident involving John C. Harris, 74, of South Bristol, who was operating a 2004 GMC and John Jacques, 65, of Whitefield, who was operating a 2008 Ford. One vehicle was parked so that his vehicle was partially in the roadway. The other vehicle was traveling down Main Street and struck the mirror of the parked vehicle.

Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to Bristol Road on a report of a car/deer accident involving Ruth J. Piper, 66, of Bristol, who was operating a 2013 Volvo.

Nov. 15, Officer Jason Warlick responded to Main Street on a report of a two car motor vehicle accident involving Christina P. Bradbury, 39, of Bristol, who was operating a 2008 Chevrolet and Courtney B. Norian, 31, of Bristol, who was operating a 2005 Subaru. Bradbury was stopped at the intersection of School Street and Main Street. Norian thought Bradbury was pulling out and struck the rear of her vehicle.

Nov. 16, Officer Scott Sutter took a late report of a hit and run accident from Karen Mook of Newcastle who noticed that her bumper had been dented.

Nov. 16, Officer Jason Warlick responded to Romeo's parking lot on a report of a two car motor vehicle accident involving James T. Fitzpatrick, 63, of Bristol, who was operating a 2005 Subaru and Kimberly Creamer, 41, of Damariscotta, who was operating a 2002 Chevy. One of the vehicles hit the other party's parked vehicle.

Damariscotta Police Department responded to 173 calls including motor vehicle stops, arrests, calls for service, and more, during this one week period of time.
