Lincoln County Sheriff's Report

Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:

Complaints
On Nov. 20, Deputy Jared Mitkus was dispatched to a report of criminal mischief in the Bremen area. The complainant stated that someone(s) spray painted the 25 mph sign, a stop sign and a portion of the roadway. Approximate damage is $100.

Recent summonses
On Nov. 22, Emily B. Kallin, 34, of Dresden, was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle in violation of a restricted license, on Gardiner Road, Dresden, by Major Ken Mason.

On Nov. 22, Ethan A. Knight, 18, of Bristol, was issued a summons for possession of marijuana, on Bristol Road, Bristol, by Deputy Aaron Beck.

On Nov. 23, a 17-year-old-female from Jefferson was issued a juvenile summons for operating under the influence and a uniform summons and complaint for criminal speed, on Bristol Road, Bristol, by Deputy Jared Mitkus, who was assisted by Deputy Matthew Day.

Recent arrests
Nov. 19, Luke N. Dale-Smith, 28, of Jefferson, was arrested for domestic violence terrorizing, on Waldoboro Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Jared Mitkus, who was assisted by Deputy Matthew Day.

Nov. 19, Shawn D. Day, 20, of Nobleboro, was arrested on a Wiscasset District Court warrant for failure to appear, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Transport Deputy James Read.

Nov. 21, James G. Skiff, 50, of Waldoboro, was arrested for violating condition of release, on North Newcastle Road, Newcastle, by Det. Robert McFetridge.

Nov. 24, Alex M. Teele, 23, of Nobleboro, was arrested for violating condition of release, on West Neck Road, Nobleboro, by Deputy Mark Bridgham.

Nov. 24, Brittney K. Westbrook, 26, of Waldoboro, was arrested for violating condition of release, on West Neck Road, Nobleboro, by Deputy Brian Collamore.

Nov. 25, Jeffrey Burnham, 37, of Boothbay, was arrested on two outstanding warrants for failure to appear, on Back Narrows Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Jared Mitkus.

Recent accidents
On Nov. 19, an accident occurred on High Street in Wiscasset involving Andrew B. Wright, 40, of Bath and Angela Brewer, 38, of Boothbay. Wright's 2001 Volvo 70 was parked in the parking lot of the Lincoln County Courthouse when Brewer backed into his vehicle with her 2007 Chevrolet 1500. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.

On Nov. 19, an accident occurred on East Shore Road on Westport Island involving Darryl S. McCulley, 21, of Westport Island. McCulley was operating his 2002 Dodge Durango southbound when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.

On Nov. 20, an accident occurred on Boothbay Road in Edgecomb involving Paula T. Stillings, 47, of Alna. Stillings was operating her 2003 Honda CRV northbound when a deer entered the travel lane from a field area and was struck. Sgt. Daniel Sceviour was the investigating officer.

On Nov. 21, an accident occurred on River Road in Newcastle involving Jonathan E. Hodgkins, 50, of Jefferson. Hodgkins was operating his 2001 Chrysler Sebring northbound when he struck a deer in the roadway. Deputy Jared Mitkus was the investigating officer.

On Nov. 21, an accident occurred on Ocean Point Road in Boothbay involving Sarah G. Smith, 67, of East Boothbay and Michael B. Stanton, 67, of Boothbay. Smith was operating her 2008 Ford Escape westbound when Stanton entered the roadway from a driveway in his 2005 Chrysler Town Car. Stanton made a left turn from the driveway onto Ocean Point Road and failed to yield to Smith's vehicle and as a result, Smith struck Stanton's vehicle on the driver's side. Deputy Aaron Beck was the investigating officer.

On Nov. 22, an accident occurred on Beach Hill Road in Jefferson involving Rebecca G. Webber, 27, of Sidney. Webber was operating her 2005 Chevrolet Impala eastbound when a deer ran into the roadway and Webber swerved to avoid the deer. As a result, her vehicle went off the roadway. Deputy Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.

On Nov. 23, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Shawn R. Perkins, 27, of Phippsburg. Perkins was operating his 2003 Chevrolet Silverado westbound when he lost control of his vehicle on black ice. As a result, his vehicle rotated 180 degrees and struck the guardrail on the north side of the road. Deputy Aaron Beck was the investigating officer.

On Nov. 24, an accident occurred on River Road in Dresden involving Bruce D. Mitton, 23, of Westbrook. Mitton was operating his 2001 Subaru Legacy northbound when a deer ran out of the wooded area into the side of his vehicle. Deputy Kenneth Hatch was the investigating officer.
