Damariscotta Police Report

Damariscotta Police Department reports the following activity:

Arrests and summonses
On Dec. 10, Deputy Chief Chad Andrews arrested Stephen R. Parmley, 62, of Waldoboro, for violation of conditions of release.

Dec. 14, Officer Jason Warlick arrested Randall P. Smith, 26, of Fort Smith, Ark., for operating under the influence and summoned him for operating without a license.

Complaints and investigations
Dec. 10, Officer Jason Warlick responded to a report of an erratic operation on Rt. 1; assisted a citizen with a lockout. Entry was made; responded to the intersection of Rt. 1 and Belvedere Road on a report of a disabled motor vehicle, having hit the stop sign; responded to a report of a disabled motor vehicle on Rt. 1, with the vehicle in the ditch; responded to a report of a disabled motor vehicle on Main Street.

Deputy Chief Chad Andrews took a report of a theft, with the items returned to the owner; responded to the intersection of Main Street and Belvedere Road on a report of a disabled motor vehicle that had apparently hit a deer and was gone on arrival.

Dec. 11, Officer Devin Polizzotti and Officer Ryan Chubbuck responded to Bristol Road, along with CLC Ambulance, on a report of a medical emergency; and they responded to Main Street on a report of suspicious activity.

Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to Hodgdon Street on a report of a parking problem; assisted a citizen who complained that a vehicle did not stop completely for her in a crosswalk.

Chief Ron Young assisted a citizen with the installation of a car seat.

Dec. 12, Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to Keene Woods Road, along with CLC Ambulance, on a report of a medical emergency.

Officer Ryan Chubbuck responded to Branch Road on a report of suspicious activity involving two vehicles. He advised the subjects to leave and not return.

Officer Devin Polizzotti and Officer Ryan Chubbuck took a complaint of a theft.

Officer Jason Warlick responded to Main Street on a report of an erratic operation.

Officer Jason Warlick and Officer Ryan Chubbuck took a complaint of shoplifting at Renys; and they responded to Chestnut Lane on a report of a burglar alarm.

Dec. 13, Officer Devin Polizzotti took a report of lost property; took a report of harassment involving text messages; responded to Meadow Court, along with CLC Ambulance, on a report of a medical emergency; responded to Hannaford on a report of theft of groceries that had been paid for by a customer.

Officer Ryan Chubbuck responded to Main Street on a report of an erratic operation.

Officer Jason Warlick and Officer Ryan Chubbuck responded to a business on Main Street on a report of a burglar alarm.

Dec. 14, Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to Hannaford on a report of a disabled motor vehicle.

Dec. 15, Officer Devin Polizzotti conducted a pedestrian check on a subject on Biscay Road. The subject was all set.

Officer Scott Sutter assisted a citizen on Main Street who had questions about parking; took a report of a possible stolen wallet that was eventually found; responded to a local bank on a report of a burglar alarm.

Deputy Chief Chad Andrews responded to N.C. Hunt Lumber on a report of suspicious activity which turned out to be parents exchanging children; responded to Rt.1 on a report of an erratic operation; assisted a citizen with questions regarding a protection from abuse order.

Dec. 16, Officer Jason Warlick responded to the Municipal Parking Lot on a report of a parking problem.

Officer Ryan Chubbuck conducted a speed detail on Church Street; took a complaint of a burglar alarm at the Damariscotta Fire Department; conducted a speed detail on Bristol Road; responded to Salt Bay Drive on a report of suspicious activity.

Deputy Chief Chad Andrews responded to Coastal Market Drive on a report of suspicious activity.

Dec. 17, Officer Ryan Chubbuck responded, along with CLC Ambulance, to Bristol Road on a report of a medical emergency; and responded to Church Street on a report of a disabled motor vehicle.

Accidents
On Dec. 13, Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to Main Street for a two vehicle motor vehicle accident involving Michael A. Clarke, 19, of Jefferson, who was operating a 2004 Jeep and Kathleen L. Dixon, 55, of Warren, who was operating a 2007 Jeep.

Officer Jason Warlick responded to Damariscotta Hardware on a report of a two vehicle accident involving Susan G. Geyer, 54, of Bristol, who was legally parked in a 2005 Toyota and Bridget C. Hooper, 58, of Bloomfield, Conn., who was backing from a parking space in a 2001 Ford. While doing so, she hit the driver's side door of Geyer's vehicle.

Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to the intersection of Main and Elm Street for a two vehicle accident involving Barbara A. Damon-Day, 70, of Damariscotta, who was operating a 2011 Honda and Samuel R. Genthner, 17, of Bristol, who was operating a 1990 Ford.

Dec. 16, Deputy Chief Chad Andrews responded to the intersection of Rand Lane and Lessner Road for a one vehicle accident involving Candace D. Wall, 40, of Bristol, who was operating a 1999 Kia when she hit a cow. The cow was fine.

Summary
Damariscotta Police Department responded to 145 calls including motor vehicle stops, arrests, calls for service, during this one week period of time.
