Damariscotta Police Report

Damariscotta Police Department Reports the following activity:

Complaints and investigations
Jan. 14, Officer Ryan Chubbuck responded to the Damariscotta Fire Department on a report of a burglar alarm. It was a false alarm.

Jan. 15, Officer John Sylvester responded to a report of an erratic operation, with negative contact with the operator; and responded to Main Street on a report of a disabled motor vehicle.

Officer Jason Warlick and Officer John Sylvester responded to the intersection of Belvedere Road and Rt. 1 on a report of two dogs running in the roadway. They were unable to locate the dogs.

Officer Ryan Chubbuck responded to the Damariscotta Fire Department on a report of a burglar alarm. It was a false alarm.

Officer John Sylvester took a report of harassment; and took a report of a possible theft.

Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to Hannaford Parking Lot on a report of a criminal mischief.

Jan. 17, Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to Main Street for what he believed to be a disabled motor vehicle, which was not; responded to Main Street on a report of an erratic operation, with negative contact with the vehicle; and attempted to locate a subject on Main Street who was possibly driving with a suspended license, with negative contact with the subject.

Jan. 18, Officer Jason Warlick responded to Locust Lane, along with the Damariscotta Fire Department on a report of a fire alarm; assisted a citizen with questions they had regarding a harassment order; and responded to Rt. 1 on a report of an erratic operation, resulting in negative contact with the vehicle.

Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to Hannaford on a report of a possible violation of a protection from abuse order; responded to the intersection of Biscay Road and Lessner Road on a report of a disabled motor vehicle, gone upon arrival; and responded to Elm Street on a report of suspicious activity.

Jan. 19, Officer Ryan Chubbuck responded to Hutchings Road, along with CLC Ambulance, on a report of a medical emergency; assisted a citizen with getting paperwork delivered to Waldoboro Police Department; responded to Hannaford on a report that someone was driving on the lawn; responded to Keene Woods Road, along with the Damariscotta Fire Department, on a report of a down power line; assisted Miles Memorial Hospital with getting a blue paper signed; responded to Hodgdon Green, along with CLC Ambulance, on a report of a suicidal subject; and responded to Back Meadow Road, along with the Damariscotta Fire Department, on a report of a chimney fire.

Jan. 20, Officer Ryan Chubbuck responded to Lessner Road on a report of a disabled motor vehicle.

Arrests and summonses
Jan. 15, Geri E. Small, 59, of Bristol, was summoned for speeding, 15 to 19 mph over the posted speed limit.

Nicole E. Brann, 20, of Waldoboro, was summoned for failure to produce evidence of insurance.

Accidents
Jan. 14, Officer Ryan Chubbuck responded to the Best Thai Restaurant parking lot on a report that a 2001 Subaru belonging to Rochelle S. Swazey, of Nobleboro, had been struck by another vehicle.

Jan. 15, Officer John Sylvester responded to the intersection of Main and School streets on a report of a two vehicle motor vehicle accident involving Nicole E. Brann, 20, of Waldoboro, who was operating a 2003 Buick and Charlene L. Hall, 35, of Bristol, who was operating a 2014 Nissan.

Jan. 16, Officer John Sylvester responded to Main Street on a report of a two vehicle motor vehicle accident involving Ronald J. Labonty, 44, of Newcastle, who was operating a 1989 Dodge and Kim F. Suhr, 43, of Georgetown, who was operating a 2006 Dodge. Labonty was traveling north on Main Street. Suhr was parked on Main Street and he opened his door into oncoming traffic and Labonty struck it.

Jan. 17, Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to the parking lot of Mia's Shear Perfections on a report of a two-car accident involving Valerie M. Gill, 82, of Newcastle, who was operating a 2004 Toyota and Cory T. Burnham, of Walpole, who was operating a 2011 Chevrolet.

Deputy Chief Chad Andrews responded to Main Street on a report of a two vehicle motor vehicle accident involving Desiree J. Burnham, 30, of Jefferson, who was operating a 2008 Honda and Angel Plant, 40, of Bremen, who was operating a 2000 Chrysler.

Damariscotta Police Department responded to 132 calls including motor vehicle stops, arrests, calls for service, and more during this one week period.
