Damariscotta Police Report

Damariscotta Police Department reports the following activity:

Complaints and investigations
March 4, Deputy Chief Chad Andrews conducted a speed detail on Church Street.

Chief Ron Young responded to Rt. 1 on a report of an erratic operation.

Officer Ryan Chubbuck responded to Alison Lane, along with CLC Ambulance, on a report of a medical emergency.

March 6, Officer Jason Warlick took a report of a theft.

March 7, Officer Tyson Fait responded to Main Street on a report of an erratic operation.

Officer John Sylvester responded to the intersection of Main and Water Streets on a report of a disabled motor vehicle.

March 8, Officer Sylvester responded to Schooner Cove, along with CLC Ambulance, on a report of a medical emergency.

Officer Fait responded to Rt. 1 on a report of an erratic operation. He was able to stop the vehicle and was advised by the operator that he was tired.

March 9, Officer Fait responded to Main Street, along with CLC Ambulance, on a report of a medical emergency; and assisted Miles Memorial Hospital by escorting a patient back to their residence.

March 10, Chief Young assisted a citizen by transporting her child to school.

Deputy Chief Andrews responded to School Street on a report of a disabled motor vehicle; responded to Rt. 1 on a report of an erratic operation; took a report of a criminal mischief.

Deputy Chief Andrews and Officer Chubbuck responded to Main Street on a report of an erratic operation.

Arrests and summonses
March 4, Matthew P. Bolster, 17, of South Bristol, was summoned by Deputy Chief Andrews for operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

March 5, Kevin E. Tillson, 49, of Windsor, was summoned for speeding, 52 mph in a 40 mph zone on Bristol Road by Officer Warlick.

John L. Reeves, 67, of Damariscotta, was summoned for operating an unregistered motor vehicle on Church Street by Officer Warlick.

Stephen R. Parmley, 62, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Officer Chubbuck for violation of conditions of release.

March 7, Aidan M. Fraser, 17, of Newcastle. was summoned by Officer Warlick for speeding, 39 mph in a 25 mph zone on Church Street.

Zachary E. Lane, 22, of Nobleboro, was summoned for speeding, 29 mph in a 15 mph zone on Main Street by Officer Warlick.

Victoria L. Woodruff, 17, of Newcastle, was summoned for speeding, 44 mph in a 30 mph zone on Main Street by Officer Warlick.

Robert McKinley, 78, of Damariscotta, was summoned by Officer Sylvester for operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Tyler J. Leavitt, 21, of Damariscotta, was summoned for possession of marijuana by Officer Sylvester.

March 9, Jean A. Johnstone, 89, of Damariscotta, was summoned for speeding, 44 mph in a 25 mph zone on Church Street by Officer Chubbuck.

March 11, Devon E. Jones, 23, of Newcastle, was summoned by Chief Young for operating after suspension and operating an uninspected motor vehicle on Bristol Road.

Accidents
March 9, Officer Chubbuck responded to Main Street on a report of a two vehicle motor vehicle accident involving Kenneth P. Taplin, 79, of Blue Hill, who was operating a 2014 Toyota and Heather A. Mountainland, 27, of Damariscotta, who was operating a 1998 Honda. Taplin was travelling through the Municipal Parking Lot. Mountainland was backing from a parking space and struck Taplin's vehicle.

Damariscotta Police Department responded to 161 calls including motor vehicle stops, arrests, calls for service, etc. during this one week period of time.
