Lincoln County Sheriff's Report
Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
On March 24, Sgt. Daniel Sceviour was dispatched to a report of a theft in the Boothbay area. The complainant stated that sometime on this date, between 1740 hours and 2120 hours, someone(s) removed the gas cap (value: $25) from his 2003 Ford pickup. At this time, there are no witnesses, suspects or other information available.
Recent summonsesMarch 19, Amanda L. Taylor, 30, of Warren, was issued a summons for criminal trespass, on Blinn Hill Road, Dresden, by Deputy Kenneth Hatch.
March 19, Kenneth B. Flower Jr., 38, of Damariscotta, was issued a summons for criminal trespass, on Blinn Hill Road, Dresden, by Deputy Hatch.
March 21, Kayla Beaulieu, 18, of Dresden, was issued summonses for permitting unlawful use and minor possessing liquor, on Middle Road, Dresden, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
Recent arrestsMarch 19, Jonathan Larose, 39, of Woolwich, was arrested for trafficking in prison contraband and violating condition of release, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Det. Robert McFetridge.
March 19, Christopher Caldwell, 24, of Albion, was arrested on a Waterville District Court warrant for unpaid fines, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Transport Deputy James Read.
March 20, Jason D. Hunter, 29, of Bristol, was arrested on a Cumberland County warrant for theft and possession of drugs, on Academy Hill, Newcastle, by Deputy Mark Bridgham.
March 21, Scott C. Jurgen, 31, of Bowdoin, was arrested on a Cumberland County warrant for violation of bail on a previous operating after habitual offender revocation, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Transport Deputy Michael Gustafson.
March 22, Michael H. Rose, 42, of Boothbay Harbor, was arrested for burglary; theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and criminal mischief, in the parking lot of the Lincoln County Communications Center, Wiscasset, by Deputy Justin Drake.
March 22, Ted T. Worthley, 19, of Jefferson, was arrested for operating under the influence and operating after license suspension, on River Road, Dresden, by Sgt. Brendan Kane.
March 24, David Morin, 32, of Lyman, was arrested for improper contact with victim, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Jared Mitkus.
March 24, Jenna R. Harris, 27, of Westport Island, was arrested on a Lewiston District Court warrant, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Sgt. Sceviour.
Recent accidentsOn March 19, an accident occurred on Rittall Road in Boothbay involving Barbara C. Cary, 55, of Boothbay Harbor, and Joan A. Benoit, 70, of Ludlow, Mass. Benoit, who was operating her 2011 Ford Fusion, slowed in traffic and then came to a stop. Cary, who was operating her 2008 Hyundai Vera Cruz, was distracted by two dogs in her vehicle and did not see Benoit stopped and as a result, struck the back of her vehicle. Sgt. Alan Shea was the investigating officer.
On March 21, an accident occurred on Middle Road in Dresden involving Chelsea J. Edgar, 24, of Whitefield. Edgar was operating her 2001 Subaru Impreza eastbound when she lost control of her vehicle on black ice, drove off the roadway and struck a snow bank. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On March 21, an accident occurred on Rt. 1 in Newcastle involving Norman E. Langdon, 81, of Newcastle. Langdon was operating his 2009 Jeep Patriot eastbound when he pulled over for an emergency vehicle which was behind him, however, he pulled over too far and struck a sign. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On March 22, an accident occurred on Indian Road in Dresden involving Ted T. Worthley, 19, of Jefferson. Worthley was operating his 1985 Chevrolet Blazer and made a wide turn onto the Indian Road from the River Road. Worthley's vehicle left the roadway due to excessive speed and struck a rock ledge and came to rest in the roadway. Sgt. Kane was the investigating officer.
On March 24, an accident occurred on Boothbay Road in Edgecomb involving Jesse T. Erskine, 29, of Boothbay. Erskine was operating his 2001 GMC Sierra southbound when he reportedly fell asleep briefly. When he awoke, he over corrected and lost control of his vehicle. As a result, his vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole and rolled over. His vehicle striking the utility pole caused damage to an adjacent home. Sgt. Kane was the investigating officer.
On March 24, an accident occurred on Trotter Lane in Whitefield involving Wayne D. Brann, 40, of Somerville. Brann was operating his 2005 Nissan westbound when he "nodded" off and went off the roadway, striking a tree. Deputy Hatch was the investigating officer.
