Damariscotta Police Report

Damariscotta Police Department reports the following activity:

Complaints and investigations
April 15, Deputy Chief Chad Andrews took possession of found property, three separate times; responded to the Damariscotta Fire Department on a report of a burglar alarm, tripped in error; and took a report of harassment.

Officer Ryan Chubbuck responded to a report of an erratic operation.

April 16, Chief Ron Young and Officer Warlick responded to Biscay Road on a report of suspicious activity; conducted a welfare check on a subject on Standpipe Road; and responded to Back Meadow Road on a report of suspicious activity.

April 17, Chief Young and Officer Warlick took a report of a burglar alarm on Chestnut Lane, tripped in error.

Officer Warlick conducted a 9-1-1 check at a local bank after a 9-1-1 hang up call; responded to Back Meadow Road on a report of a disabled motor vehicle; and responded to Shamrock Lane on a report of a burglary.

April 18, Deputy Chief Andrews responded to McDonalds on a report of suspicious activity.

Officer Warlick responded to a local bank on a report of a burglar alarm, tripped in error.

Officer John Sylvester took a report of a theft; and responded to a local bank on a report of suspicious activity. It turned out to be someone cleaning.

April 19, Officer Jason Warlick responded to Hodgdon Green, along with CLC Ambulance, on a report of a medical emergency; took possession of found property; responded to a report of an erratic operation; and responded to Rt. 1 on a report of suspicious activity.

Officer John Sylvester responded to Branch Road on a report of a disabled motor vehicle; responded to Main Street on a report of an erratic operation; and took a report of lost property.

Officer Mark Graham responded to a report of an erratic operation.

Officer Mark Graham and Officer John Sylvester responded to Oyster Creek Lane, along with the Damariscotta Fire Department, on a report of a possible fire.

April 20, Officer Chubbuck responded to Rt. 1 on a report of an erratic operation; and responded to Abbie Lane on an animal complaint.

April 21, Officer Polizzotti responded to Cross Street on a report of suspicious activity; responded to Biscay Road to conduct a welfare check on a pedestrian.

Officer Chubbuck assisted the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department with an assault that took place on the Nobleboro end of Belvedere Road.

April 22, Officer Polizzotti responded to Rt. 1 on a report of an erratic operation.

Arrests and summonses
April 15, Nathan R. Herald, 25, of Damariscotta, was arrested for domestic violence assault by Officer Chubbuck.

April 16, Nathan T. Brewer, 25 of Nobleboro was arrested for failure to provide correct name and address, possession of burglar's tools and violation of conditions of release and summoned for operating after suspension by Officer Warlick.

April 18, Richard M. Beaudoin, 36, of Damariscotta, was summoned for operating a vehicle with no inspection sticker by Officer Warlick.

Ashley C. Taylor, 20, of West Gardiner, was summoned to court for use of drug paraphernalia by Deputy Chief Andrews.

April 19, Robert E. Kaler, 44, of Bremen, was summoned for operating an uninspected motor vehicle by Officer Warlick.

Accidents
April 18, Officer Warlick responded to Elm Street on a report of a two vehicle accident involving Amy L. Balsdon, of Boothbay, who was operating a 2007 Dodge and Kelcey Westhaver, of Newcastle, who was operating a 2004 Dodge.

April 21, Officer Polizzotti responded to Rite Aid on a report of a vehicle hitting the building. The vehicle, a 2008 Ford, was being driven by Janet K. Wynne, 77, of Damariscotta.

Damariscotta Police Department responded to 145 calls including motor vehicle stops, arrests, calls for service, etc. during this one week period of time.
