Waldoboro Police Report

The Waldoboro Police Department responded to 291 calls for service in this time period. Below are a few of the highlights.

Arrests/summons
April 22, Barbara Boardman, 59, of Waldoboro, was summoned for failure to show proof of insurance.

April 22, Timothy Benner, 46, of Waldoboro, was summoned for operating a vehicle with an expired license.

April 22, Sarah Tanguay, 22, of Lewiston, was summoned for uninspected motor vehicle and failure to show proof of insurance.

April 23, Gerald Joly, 55, of Union, was summoned for failure to show proof of insurance.

April 23, Keith Shaw Jr., 42, of Waldoboro, was arrested, for criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, loud unreasonable noise, refusing to submit to arrest or detention, operating after suspension, failure to notify of motor vehicle accident.

April 24, James Barth Jr., 48, of Warren for uninspected motor vehicle.

April 25, Todd Dodge, 41, of Waldoboro, was arrested on a warrant.

April 25, Maximillian Holm, 24, of Camden, was summoned for driving to endanger.

April 25, Rebecca Libby, 27, of Waldoboro, was charged with operating under the influence.

April 26, Jeremy Hallowell, 35, of Somerville, was summoned for an uninspected motor vehicle and failure to show proof of insurance.

April 29, Jonathan Savon, 39, of Friendship, was summoned for operating an uninspected motor vehicle.

April 30, Carroll Demmons, 43, of Waldoboro, was summoned for operating an uninspected motor vehicle and failure to show proof of insurance.

April 30, William White, 21, of Roslindale, was summoned for speed.

May 1, Robert Lacomb, 30, of Waldoboro, was arrested on a warrant.

May 1, Tina Chapman, 40, of Waldoboro, was summoned for burglary, aggravated criminal mischief, theft, and terrorizing.

May 2, Andrew Laine, 47, of Waldoboro, was summoned for failing to notify of a motor vehicle accident and failing to make oral or written accident report.

May 4, Christopher Cushman, 36, of South Thomaston, was summoned for operating after suspension or revocation.

May 4, Brian Bennett, 30, of Waldoboro, was summoned on a warrant.

Complaints
April 22, Officer Andrew Santheson is investigating a reported theft of pipes and sauna equipment from the Waldoboro Fitness Center.

April 23, Officer Larry Hesseltine investigated two separate reports of criminal mischief after two residents reported someone egged their respective vehicles.

April 24, Officer Hesseltine is investigating a report of telephone harassment.

April 25, Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a reported theft of a refrigerator, which was recovered at a scrap yard.

April 26, Officer Fuller is investigating a reported theft of a ladder from a pickup truck.

April 26, Officer Fuller is investigating a reported the theft of a water pump.

April 27, Officer Fuller is investigating a reported theft of some items from a private residence.

May 1, Sergeant Jamie Wilson is investigating a report from the Big Apple of a $22.73 gasoline drive off.

May 3, Officer Hesseltine is investigating a report from the Big Apple of a $30.07 gasoline drive off.

May 4, Officer Fuller is investigating a reported theft of a gate from a cemetery.

May 4, Officer Fuller is investigating a report that someone broke into a barn.

Accidents
April 25, Maximillian Holm, 24, of Camden, was driving a 2006 Jeep utility vehicle around 8:47 a.m. when he later stated he fell asleep, crossed the centerline and struck a 2008 Nissan sedan operated by Ellen Dyer, 46, of Thomaston in Dyer's travel lane. Neither operator was injured. Officer Fuller investigated.

April 25, Rebecca Libby, 27, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet utility vehicle on the Friendship Rd around 5:05 p.m. Libby left the roadway, overcorrected, causing her vehicle to overturn, coming to rest off the roadway back on its wheels. Injuries occurred as a result of this accident. Officer Fuller investigated.

April 25, Officer Santheson investigated an accident in the parking lot at intersection of Friendship Rd, Jefferson Street, and Main Street at 6:20 p.m. While backing up in a 2000 Chevrolet sedan, Keith Shaw, 42, of Waldoboro, struck the right front corner of an unoccupied 2008 Toyota sedan, operated by Steven Ewing, 37, of Waldoboro, with the left rear corner Shaw's vehicle. There were no injuries.
