Damariscotta Police Report

The Damariscotta Police Department reports the following activity:

Arrests
Brandi A. Bryant, 20, Bristol, domestic violence assault, July 27.

Norman A. Palmer, 26, Damariscotta, aggravated assault, violation of conditions of release; July 24.

Summonses
Cody Mitchell, 19, Boothbay, illegal transportation of liquor by a minor, July 22.

Phoebe G. Arnold, 21, Newcastle, furnishing liquor to a minor, July 22.

Accidents
July 22: Officer Jason Warlick responded to the Hannaford parking lot on a report of a motor-vehicle accident involving Anina Meyer, 31, of Bremen, who was operating a 1994 Nissan, and Douglas P. Chisholm, 50, of Damariscotta, who was operating a 2005 GMC. Both vehicles were backing from parking spaces. The drivers failed to see one another and the vehicles struck each other.

July 23: Officer Warlick responded to Main Street on a report of a motor-vehicle accident involving Ella Mjelstad, 80, of Nobleboro, who was operating a 2008 Mercury, and Russell Maylone, 74, of Bath, who was operating a 2004 Mercedes Benz. Mjelstad was traveling through the back parking lot. Maylone was backing from a parking space and didn't see Mjalstad and struck her vehicle.

July 25: Officer Warlick responded to Elm Street on a report of a motor-vehicle accident involving Linda E. Schiller, of South Bristol, who was operating a 2011 Subaru.

July 28: Chief Ron Young responded to the parking lot of Damariscotta Hardware on a report of a motor-vehicle accident involving Austin B. Beverage, 18, of Jefferson, who was operating a 2003 Ford, and Jeffrey L. Wotton, 46, of Waldoboro, who was operating a 1999 Ford. Wotton was stopped waiting for a vehicle to turn onto Main Street. Beverage struck the rear of Wotton's vehicle.

Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to Main Street on a report of a motor-vehicle accident involving Christina Lindberg, of Bristol, who was operating a 2007 Jeep, and Michael H. Rose, of Boothbay Harbor, who was operating a 2008 Ford. Rose backed into Lindberg's vehicle.

July 22: Officer Warlick responded to U.S. Route 1 on a report of an erratic operation.

Deputy Chief Chad Andrews conducted a welfare check on a subject on Main Street.

July 23: Deputy Chief Andrews took possession of found property.

Chief Young responded to a local bank on a report of a burglar alarm.

Chief Young responded to a local bank, along with the Damariscotta Fire Department, on a report of a fire alarm.

Chief Young responded to Coastal Market Drive on a report of a dog left in a motor vehicle.

Officer Warlick took possession of found property.

Officer Warlick responded to U.S. Route 1 on a report of a traffic hazard.

Officer Warlick took a report of a theft.

Chief Young responded to Hannaford on a report of a dog left in a motor vehicle.

Officer Warlick took possession of found property.

Deputy Chief Andrews responded to Hodgdon Green, along with Central Lincoln County Ambulance, on a report of a medical emergency.

July 24: Officer Warlick responded to Schooner Street on a report of a burglar alarm.

Animal Control Officer Kyle Emerson responded to Miles Street on a report of a dog left in a motor vehicle.

Animal Control Officer Emerson responded to Main Street on a report of a dog left in a motor vehicle.

Officer John Sylvester responded to U.S. Route 1 on a report of suspicious activity.

July 25: Officer Warlick responded, along with Central Lincoln County Ambulance, to Parking Lot Lane on a report of a medical emergency.

Officer Warlick assisted the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office with locating a subject.

Officer Warlick assisted a citizen with retrieving her keys from a storm drain.

Officer Warlick took a report of harassment.

Officer Warlick responded to Main Street on a report of an erratic operation.

Officer Sylvester responded to Main Street, along with CLC Ambulance, on a report of a medical alarm.

July 26: Officer Sylvester responded to Biscay Road on a loud noise complaint.

Officer Sylvester responded to Twin Cove Lane on a loud noise complaint.

July 27: Officer Sylvester responded to Twin Cove Lane on a report of threatening.

Officer Mark Graham escorted a subject to their residence to retrieve belongings.

Animal Control Officer Emerson found a lost dog on Main Street.

Officer Sylvester conducted a pedestrian check on a subject on Main Street.

July 28: Chief Young responded to Rite Aid, along with CLC Ambulance, on a report of a medical emergency.

Officer Polizzotti responded to Twin Cove Lane on a report of loud noise.

The Damariscotta Police Department responded to 186 calls, including motor-vehicle stops, arrests, and calls for service during this one-week period of time.
