Waldoboro Police Report

Waldoboro officers responded to 302 calls for service in this time period. Below are a few of the highlights.

Complaints
Aug. 4, Officer Thomas Baritone investigated a harassment complaint. The subject was found and warned on harassment.

Aug. 7, Officer Larry Hesseltine is investigating the theft of a bicycle valued at $1000.

Aug. 8, Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating the reported theft of $170.

Aug. 8, Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report of criminal mischief.

Aug. 12, Officer Thomas Bartunek is investigating the theft of a canoe, value $600.

Aug. 14, Officer Christopher Spear is investigating a report of verbal harassment.

Aug. 14, Officer Larry Hesseltine is investigating a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle.

Aug. 14, Officer Larry Hesseltine investigated a report from Maritime Farms of an $81 gas drive off. Subject returned and paid for gas.

Aug. 18, Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report of the theft of some money from a motor vehicle.

Faith Whitsit, 25, Waldoboro, operating after suspension and speed, Aug. 7.

John Lorence, 84, Edgecomb, failure to yield, Aug. 9.

Mackenzie Tucker, 20, South Thomaston, for criminal mischief and operating under the influence, Aug. 10.

Todd Allaire, 49, of Washington, failure to stop at a red light, Aug. 13.

Casey Palmer, 22, of Waldoboro, furnishing a place for minors to consume/possess liquor, Aug. 14.

Lindsay Lawyerson, 20, of Waldoboro, furnishing a place for minors to consume/possess liquor, Aug. 14.

Holly Boone, 26, of Waldoboro, furnishing liquor to minors, Aug. 14.

Logan Grover, 18, of Wiscasset, uninspected motor vehicle, Aug. 16, .

Arrests
John Schmiz, Jr., 34, of Warren, on a warrant, Aug. 11.

George Gendron, 32, of Waldoboro, on a warrant, Aug. 12.

George Ganson, 31, of Bristol, on a warrant, Aug. 17.

Accidents
Aug. 4, John Dawson, 73, of Bristol, was attempting to turn left, out of Bullwinkle's parking lot onto Route 1 around 5:44 p.m., when he failed to see a northbound, 2005 Mack truck, operated by Randy Edgecomb, 28, of Washington. Edgecomb's truck struck the front driver side fender of Dawson's 2010 Jeep utility vehicle. Officer Thomas Baritone investigated

Aug. 6, around 10:47 p.m., Ashley Bailey, 24, of Wiscasset, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet utility vehicle south on Friendship Road when she crossed the northbound lane, left the road, and overturned onto the passenger side, coming to rest against a utility pole. Officer Christopher Spear investigated.

Aug. 8, Regis Prevot, 51, of Rockland, was operating a southbound 2001 Ford pickup on Friendship Road around 10:54 p.m., when he crossed the northbound lane, left the road, and impacted the shoulder. Officer Christopher Spear investigated.

Aug. 14, At 9:15 a.m., Linda Colbath, 65, of Waldoboro, was waiting to pull out onto the Atlantic Highway from the Dunkin Donuts parking lot. Jamie Bannister, 25, of Lewiston, operating a 2014 Nissan sedan, had pulled up behind Colbath, and was also waiting to pull out onto the Atlantic Highway. Colbath, feeling she had pulled too far out into the road, backed up her 2007 Jeep utility vehicle into Bannister's vehicle. No injuries. Officer Larry Hesseltine investigated.

Aug. 14, Roger Feltis, 22, of Waldoboro, was driving a westbound 1999 Chevrolet pickup truck on the Atlantic Highway at 1 p.m., when he attempted to make a left turn across two lanes of travel. Feltis crossed into the path of an eastbound, 2007 Toyota sedan operated by Clarence Stanford, 86, of Florida and the two vehicles collided. A passenger in the Stanford vehicle, Rita Sanford, 85, sustained minor injuries. Officer Larry Hesseltine investigated.
