Beautiful Abby (Abigail), at 13 is so elegant.
By Kelly Brook

Four beautiful shelter cats need quiet, forever homes. They have been at LCAS for quite a while. All three love people - big people.

What a gift each would make on a cold winter's night as a lap blanket, or in bed as a leg warmer. When spring arrives each would love looking out a family's window at the birds that have returned to these northern climes.

A loving cat, however, is for all seasons. They are forever there for company, to give warmth and love to their person or persons in good days or bad days of weather, and for lifting spirits.

If you do not own an animal but have been thinking about adopting a cat from the shelter, now is the time. Four photographs of beautiful choices are showcased here in this week's All Four Feet.

White Abby is a short-haired 10-year-old Persian mix. She is quite sprightly and very loving. She adores people but should be in a home with no other animals or small children. She's been at the shelter since last year. Please come and take her home with you. Or sit with her and give her some brushing.

Beautiful, shy Sara is part Persian as well and at age 5, she has been at the shelter since last October. She, like the others of this story, need a quiet, loving home. She looks like a show-girl and only needs a lot of TLC before she is ready for her stage debut.

Aurora, at age 10, is a bit over-weight for a short haired tabby. She needs some exercise. Perhaps she could be trained to walk on a leash. She is grumpy with children and other animals, but would make a wonderful pet for someone who prefers the quiet life with no hassles.

Beautiful Abby (Abigail), at 13 is so elegant. She is also looking for a quiet forever home. For those of us who own cats, we know they live longer than dogs - for the most part - and at 13, Abigail is a youngster. She would be perfect as a loving pet - to enjoy and to admire her lovely face each day of the year.

All four shelter girls have had their shots and are spayed.

"All Four Feet" thanks all those who responded to last week's story about the chocolate lab, Daisy. Updates will be included in the column as they are available. Your generosity is heartfelt and makes it a better world for all creatures great and small.
