Bremen Adventurer Becomes First Woman to Solo Northern Forest Canoe Trail
Laurie Chandler, of Bremen, became the first woman to solo the length of the 749.7 mile Northern Forest Canoe Trail in mid-August. Chandler started her adventure on the Fulton Chain of Lakes in Olde Forge, New York June 20.

Nobleboro Accident Temporarily Slows Traffic
A Damariscotta woman who appeared to be suffering from fatigue drove into a ditch on East Pond Road in Nobleboro Wednesday Aug. 26, a Lincoln County Sheriff's Office deputy said.

Wiscasset Police Department Announces New School Resource Officer
The Wiscasset Police Department has named its new school resource officer. Thomas Hoepner, a veteran law enforcement official with approximately nine years of experience as a school resource officer in Lincoln County, will serve as Wiscasset's second school resource officer.
