There is no better time to learn about Southport author Sarah Sherman McGrail, a daughter of a World War II veteran who has spent the last 20 years working to preserve the history of veterans of three wars, mostly from the Boothbay region.

Edgecomb Approves New Technology, Turnout Gear
New technology and new turnout gear will come to Edgecomb following the annual town meeting Saturday, May 21. Edgecomb voters approved a fire department operations budget that included 15 new sets of turnout gear - the only divergence on the town meeting warrant between the budget committee's recommendations and the amount presented to voters.

RSU 12's $20.8 Million Budget Advances
With little opposition, RSU 12's $20.8 million budget was approved at the district budget meeting in Chelsea on Thursday, May 19. The budget will now head to a referendum vote in the district's seven towns on Tuesday, June 14 for final approval.
