Friday Storm Stronger Than Forecast
An all day storm on Friday hit a bit harder than expected when the center of circulation tracked further west than originally forecast.

UPDATED - Power Restored in Boothbay Harbor
Wind driven wet snow resulted in numerous power outages in Boothbay Harbor during the storm on Friday, according to Central Maine Power Co. Most of the 143 outages appeared to be in areas near the Lobster Cove Preserve and Appalachie Pond, near the border with East Boothbay. Power was restored to all households by Friday evening, according to CMP.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory regarding a storm forecast to affect Lincoln County beginning Friday morning. Snow accumulations upwards of 3 inches are presently forecast through the day on Friday, according to the weather service.

Result of Clary Lake Dam Auction Unknown
A small crowd turned out to witness the auction of the Clary Lake Dam on the steps of the Lincoln County Courthouse Jan. 29, the result of mortgagee Medius L3C's foreclosure on the property. Jefferson resident and Clary Lake waterfront owner Butch Duncan submitted the only bid at the auction, which drew spectators from the Clary Lake Association and the Maine Attorney General's Office.
