Friedland Wins Second Straight Maine Tennis Championship

Lincoln Academy senior Jordan Friedland, of Nobleboro, won his second straight Maine State Tennis championship on May 29 in Portland.

Friedland defeated Falmouth junior Brendan McCarthy 6-3, 6-0 to win the 2013 championship. The two players had not faced each other before. "They were not familiar with each other's style, which probably favored Jordan," coach Michael Blake said.
