Church Raises Funds For Mission With 5K
Lynne Brackett and Jan Wood walk in the Around the World 5K. The walk/run was a fundraiser for Wood's mission to Uganda. Wood was long time obstetric nurse at Miles Memorial Hospital and travels to Uganda to work with an obstetrics team.

The Lincoln County Assembly of God Church in Damariscotta held an Around the World 5K road race walk/run on Saturday and raised about $1000 to support Jan Wood's mission to Uganda. Wood, a member of the church, was an obstetric nurse at Miles Memorial Hospital for 31 years. Now retired, Wood is planning her seventh mission trip to Africa this winter.
