Lincoln Academy and Medomak Valley battled through two overtimes, 90 grueling minutes, before settling for a 0-0 scoreless tie Saturday night under the lights at LA's Homecoming.

The Panthers were playing without play maker and leading scorer Zidane McMurrin who sat out with an injury.

Medomak held a 7-5 advantage in shots in first-half action, with both keepers making five saves. Lincoln held a 19-12 advantage in shots in the game that was largely a midfield battle played between the 18's. Wally Morris made 10 saves in net for the Eagles and Noah Beck 13 for the Panthers. Almost every save was routine on a long ball. Morris tipping a high shot over the net in the second half was his most exciting effort. Beck saw plenty of action, and came up big, but was not challenged on any shots to the corners. The Eagles shanked several golden opportunities high or wide.

Brandon McAuliffe made a goal line stop for the Panthers in the second half, and Luke Huntington came up big in the Eagles defensive back field when he stopped Zach Starr on a breakaway with 10 minutes to go in regulation

Medomak's Maty Moore and Patrick Madden got off the only two shots of the first overtime, both saved by Morris. Lincoln owned the second overtime out shooting the Panthers 5-0. John Henry and Devin Scherer were stopped by Beck, Beck corralled a corner kick and Sawyer Pinkham missed wide.

Greg Anderson, Michael McCormick, and John Henry joined Huntington with solid defense for the Eagles. Leading defenders for the Panthers were Nicholas DePatsy, McAuliff, Madden and Micah Williamson.
