Dustin Osier Memorial Alumni Basketball Games, a Blast From the Past

The third annual Dustin J. Osier Memorial Alumni Basketball games were held at Medomak Valley Saturday night. Old friends were re-acquainted with hugs, handshakes, and good natured fun in the annual event. All the funds raised through the games and raffles go to a scholarship fund in Osier's name.

Girls Blue 30 - Gold 29


The girls game was the most exciting match-up of the night, with the Gold team jumping out to a double digit lead. Gold led 21-13 at the half, before the Blue team rallied to win 30-29 on a basket from Amanda Hendrickson.

Scoring for Blue were Roxanne Jelenfy 8, Alanna Vose 6, Hendrickson 6, Vanessa Davis 5, Kayla Vannah 4, and Ericka Knutson 1. Also playing for Blue was Missy Philbrooke.

Scoring for Gold were Ashley Rackliffe 7, Mallory Robbins 6, Mallory Connary, Kasey Benner, Lindsay Ranquist, Lacy Massengale and Sara Cullity, 4.

Mens Gold 66 - Blue 47


Gold dominated the men's alumni game, leading 34-21 at the half on their way to a 66-47 win over Blue.

Scoring for Gold were Alex Goldrup 20, Ryan Ripley 9, Kyle Durkee 8, Brandon Soper 8, Isaac Greenrose 7, Vincent Vannah 6, Ryan Merrifield 5, and Zac Durkee 2. Also playing for Gold was Marcus Benner.

Scoring for Blue were Jason Vinal 10, Nick Anderson 7, Dale Winchenbach 6, Kazu Tibbetts 6, John Murray 4, Robby Griffin 4, Jonathan Hendrickson-Belloguet 4, Alex Greenrose 2, Boone Olson 2, and Isaac Durkee 1. Also playing for Blue was Russell Wood.

Oldies 90 - Panther Cubs 88


The older alumni took on the younger alumni in the third game of the night. The Panther Cubs spotted the Oldies 22 points to start the game, then gave them an extra 10 points at the half. With the 32 point spot, the Oldies beat the Cubs by a basket.

Scoring for the Oldies were Matt Migliore 18, John Blodgett 11, Jeremy Reynolds 8, Nick Depatsy 6, Justin Hills 4, Tim Spear 3, Blake Nichols 3, Kevin Panneno 2, Aaron Winchenbach 2, and Scott White 1. Also playing for the Oldies was Chris Donlin.

Scoring for the Cubs were Alex Goldrup 21, Brandon Soper 16, Zac Durkee 12, Kyle Durkee 10, Marcus Benner 7, Isaac Durkee 6, Isaac Greenrose 6, Dale Winchenbach 3, Jason Vinal and Ryan Ripley 2.
