Summer Bean Suppers

At a Sunday morning meeting of the Mission Outreach Committee of the Edgecomb Congregational Church the members enthusiastically voted to devote proceeds from the first summer bean and casserole supper to the FARMS Community Kitchen Kickstarter Project.

The supper will be held on Saturday, May 18 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the church, which is wheelchair accessible.

The charge for the supper is $7 for adults and $3 for children under age 12. The menu is a variety of baked beans, home made casseroles, salads, rolls, beverages and elegant deserts.

The thrift shop is open at 4:30 p.m. for browsing and bargain hunting by early arrivals. Future recipients of proceeds from the monthly suppers are Teens to Trails, Boothbay Region Community Resources, The Edgecomb Fire Department, and the Water Security Program of Church World Service.

The church is located at 15 Cross Point Rd., at the corner of the Eddy Road off Route 27 in Edgecomb. For more information visit the church website at
