The Lincoln County Fish and Game and the Medomak Valley Land Trust will host its sixth annual spring youth fishing event on Saturday, May 18 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Waldoboro Quarry off Depot Street.

The Waldoboro Quarry is designated as youth fishing year 'round for kids aged 16 and under. The club and the land trust have enjoyed hosting these events for several years now, with attendance growing each year.

There will be fishing supplies available as well as a free lunch, snacks and drinks. Families are invited to this event and can bring their own supplies or use the ones on hand. Please bring sun block and bug spray and rain gear if the day calls for rain.

Quarry Hill is owned and managed by the town of Waldoboro, and the property encompasses 321 acres of open fields and forest that have been permanently protected with help from the Medomak Valley Land Trust.

With a dependable fishing hole and a beautiful scenic backdrop, everyone is sure to have a memorable day fishing.

Quarry Hill is located on Quarry Road, a right hand turn off of Depot Road, one mile north of Route 1. Signs for the event will be posted on Depot Road near the entrance. For more information contact Becky Morrell, club secretary at 832-5524.
