Happenings
We go international this week with a live broadcast from London and a film from France - but we can't forget a couple of performances from close to home. Come this week and experience Lincoln Theater.

'The Audience'
The National Theatre Live in HD presents "The Audience" in which Helen Mirren reprises her Academy Award winning role as Queen Elizabeth II in the highly-anticipated West End production, for which she recently was awarded the Olivier Award for Best Actress.

For 60 years Elizabeth II has met each of her 12 Prime Ministers in a weekly audience at Buckingham Palace - a meeting like no other in British public life: it is private. But, no longer. "The Audience" will be broadcast live from London on Thursday, June 13 at 2 p.m. and then rebroadcast that evening at 7 p.m.

Hearts Ever Young
With more than members from all over the Midcoast area, Hearts Ever Young's 2013 program is taken from the best of film and movies and is entitled Hearts Ever Young presents "Reel to Real: A Salute to the Silver Screen." Combining the most beautiful songs, rollicking dances, funniest comedy and entertaining dialogue, the program highlights the early silent movies of the 1920s to present day film.

Matinee performance only, Friday-Sunday, June 14 to 16 at 2 p.m.

'Renoir' (R)
Set in the wild paradise of the Cote d'Azur, Gilles Bourdos's compassionate late-life portrait of the French Impressionist painter and his relationships with a voluptuous 15-year-old model and with his son Jean, injured in World War I, is a gorgeous cinematic extension of his canvasses. In French with English subtitles. "Renoir" opens Friday, June 14 at 7 p.m. and plays Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at 7 p.m. with a matinee showing on Wednesday, June 19 at 2 p.m. (No show Monday night)

Tim Sample
The Lincoln Theater annual meeting, will take place on Monday, June 17 at 7 p.m. and Tim Sample will provide the evening's entertainment. The event is free and open to both members and non-members of the theater. Please make reservations by calling 563-3424 or emailing the theater at info@atthelincoln.org.
