Lincoln County Community Theater, in residence at Damariscotta's Lincoln Theater, is busily rehearsing for its upcoming production of the revised version of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" which opens Thursday night Aug. 15 at 7:30 p.m. and plays for one weekend only.

The cast is busy singing and dancing up a storm in the wonderful rehearsal space graciously provided by St. Patrick's Church in Newcastle as it prepares to move into the historic Lincoln Theater the first week of August.

"You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" took Broadway by storm in 1999 and has kept audiences smiling ever since. This lighthearted musical follows the adventures of Charlie Brown on a typical challenging day. With help from the Peanuts Gang-Charlie, Sally Brown, Linus, Lucy, Schroeder, and Snoopy-the audience experiences life with the openness and honesty of early childhood.

Come share a day in the life of the Peanuts Gang as they negotiate life's challenges in search of that ever-elusive thing called happiness.

"Charlie Brown" opens Thursday, Aug. 15 and plays through Sunday, Aug. 18. In a production suitable for all ages, tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for all youth ages 18 and under. Tickets are available through the Lincoln Theater box office, 2 Theater St., in Damariscotta (open Tuesday through Friday, 1-3 p.m.)

Additional information and ticket reservations can be found by calling the theater at 563-3424, emailing info@atthelincoln.org, or by visiting the theater website, http://www.atthelincoln.org.
