Oyster Festival Seeking Volunteer Photographers And Videographers

The Pemaquid Oyster Festival is seeking volunteer photographers to help cover the event on Sun., Sept. 29.

"We've got a lot happening in a short period of time at this event -- contests, boat rides, and live music - it's hard for one person to cover it all," said Greg Latimer, event director of the Pemaquid Oyster Festival. "That's why we're hoping to put a team of at least three photographers and two videographers together."

The photos and videos will be used for all types of purposes including press releases, posters, social media and the Pemaquid Oyster Festival and Schooner Landing websites. A traveling exhibit of photos and video is also being considered.

"Amateurs and professionals are all welcome to join the team," Latimer said.

The Pemaquid Oyster Festival is also seeking volunteers to fill a variety of positions. Some of the activities volunteers will be needed for include: stage management, festival set-up and take-down, boat deck hands, boat ride gate management, oyster shucking, general assistance on the food line, and contest management.

For more information on volunteer work or sponsorships please contact Greg Latimer at 380-9912 or greglatimer@yahoo.com.
