Please help Mrs. McNichol's class at Great Salt Bay Community School.
The class was approved for free books from Wilbooks. Already they have received 20 books, but they are able to get hundreds more for free.
In honor of National Reading Day, Wilbooks will donate 500,000 books to classrooms across the country. Since their class was approved for this fantastic opportunity, they are asking for help from the community.
When clicking like on http://www.facebook.com/WilbooksWildAnimals on Nov. 23, their class will receive a free book: one book for every new "like."
If 183 people click "like," they will receive 183 free books.
Imagine seeing a child lost in a good book, children reading to their own delight and longing for more reading time.
Studies have shown that the strongest readers read the most. Saul & Dieckman (2006) say it best: "When students are provided with well-designed classroom libraries, they interact more with books, spend more time reading, exhibit more positive attitudes toward reading, and exhibit higher levels of reading achievement."
It is easy. Type in the search engine http://www.facebook.com/WilbooksWildAnimals and then click "like." Don't have a Facebook account? Ask someone else to "like" it. Spread the word. The more new likes received, the more books the class will receive. Just click "like."
