Railway Museum Victorian Christmas Celebration

Come join a Victorian Christmas celebration at the Wiscasset, Waterville, & Farmington Railway Museum, on Saturday, Dec. 21, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Start the visit at Sheepscot Station to get free tickets for train and horse drawn sleigh rides. The weather forecast looks good for sleigh rides which will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A wagon will be available if all this snow disappears. Be on the train at Sheepscot by 2 p.m. to make connection with the sleigh. All trains will stop at Alna center for passengers young and old to visit with Santa.

Warm oneself by the bonfire at Alna center while waiting for a sleigh ride or to talk with Santa. Enjoy light refreshments and the holiday decorations. Hardy souls may want to dress warmly and bring a warm blanket and ride in the open car. Coach cars and a caboose will also be available.

Sheepscot Station is located at 97 Cross Rd., Alna.

Directions: from Wiscasset Village take Rt. 218 north 4.5 miles to the Cross Road in Alna; take a left onto the Cross Road; Sheepscot Station is at the bottom of the hill on the right. Visit the website at or call the Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington Railway Museum at 882-4193.
