Local Riffs, Art, and Tastes at Locavore in Waldoboro July 19
The second annual Locavore Food, Music & Arts Festival in Waldoboro will bring bring its music aspect even closer to home with Maine bands performing all original music this year, according to festival organizer Melissa Smith.

The Damariscotta fireworks show originally scheduled for the Independence Day celebration has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 12, according to organizer Chris Roberts.

Little Free Library Design Contest
The Damariscotta Veterinary Clinic invites local artisans and contractors to submit designs and construction estimates to build a Little Free Library in the clinic's front yard.

The clinic would like to convert a large stump - the remnants of an old maple tree - into a tiny library with animal care books and animal storybooks.

Celebrate Christmas in July With Boothbay Railway Village & Toys For Tots
On Friday, July 25, the Boothbay Railway Village will host, in partnership with the Marine Corps Reserves and Family Holiday Wishes, its second annual Toys for Tots toy drive from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Local Churches to Host Bean Supper
North Waldoboro Church of the Nazarene and the Union Church of the Nazarene will co-host a bean supper and silent auction at the North Waldoboro Church of the Nazarene from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday, July 12.
Blood Drive at The First
The American Red Cross will visit the Damariscotta office of The First N.A. for a blood drive. The drive will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday, July 31.

Lightly used and good-as-new describes most of the items that will be available at the Newcastle-Alna Baptist Church rummage sale on Saturday, July 12. The variety ranges from housewares, clothes, lamps, and furniture to miniature collectibles, books, Christmas decorations, pet accessories, and much more.
