Besides her parents, she was predeceased by siblings, Richard, Charles, and Hope Fairbrother, and Elsie F. Boynton; her husbands, Arthur B. Smith and Benjamin T. Hagar; sons, Frank A. and Richard E. Smith; and daughter-in-law, Lillian Smith; as well as many special family members, including nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is survived by sons, Kenneth E. and wife Frances Smith of Searsmont, and Seward P. and wife Barbara Smith of Bristol; daughters, Evelyn Deardorff of California, and Cynthia Sykes of Bristol and special friend John Haines. Richard Lavoie of Augusta was like a son to Beryle.

A celebration of her life and graveside services will be held at a later date.
