Janette J. Stewart
Dec. 25, 1934 - July 7, 2014

Janette J. Stewart, 79, of Camden, passed away peacefully July 7 at Windward Gardens with her family by her side. She was born on Christmas day 1934 in Houlton, the daughter of Leland and Irene (Clark) Jellison. Janette grew up in Wytopitlock and attended local schools and was a graduate of Wytopitlock High School.

After high school she married Roy Stewart in July 1955. The two lived in various places around the state and spent a majority of time in Caribou. She was a homemaker and raised five kids, a full time job and then some. Janette enjoyed bowling and was a member of various leagues over the years. She was full of life and love and she was glad to be able to lend a helping hand when it came to her grandchildren.

Janette was always generous with her time and was happy to do so. She was fun loving and would always tease the people she was close to. Janette also enjoyed playing practical jokes on people and always loved to see people smile. She enjoyed word searches and in her later years arts and crafts. One of her favorite activities was going to church. The feeling she got while at church was something she truly enjoyed. She felt home within the walls of her familiar sanctuary. She never swore and was a role model that anyone would have been happy to have. She led a simple and happy life.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Roy Stewart.

Survivors include children, Cindy Gammon and husband Martin of Warren, David Stewart and wife Carol of Orlando, Fla., Minda Badger and husband Kevin of Bangor, Brent Stewart of Orlando, Fla., and Audra Gordon-Stewart and spouse Dorothy of Ellsworth; sister, Leanne Bourgeois and boyfriend Chub of Oakland; brother, Brent Jellison and wife Darlene of Corinth; grandchildren, Willis Gammon and wife Casey, Jeremy Gammon and girlfriend Shawna, Kathryn Kelly, Mckayla Lindsay, Kara Lindsay, and Christen Stewart; great-grandchildren, Ryder, Alexis, Jocelynn, Colby, Autumn, and Jayden; several nieces and nephews; and special aunt, Patricia Johnson.
